SYWARE Announces Report CE^® 2.0, Report Writing Software for Windows CE and Pocket PC Handhelds

Popular Report Writing Tools Allows Custom Reports in Minutes

Cambridge, MA (November 6, 2000). SYWARE Inc., leading developer of intuitive database tools for business and personal productivity, today introduced Report CE® 2.0, a major new release of the world's only report writing tool for Windows CE and Pocket PCs. A wealth of new features enables users to quickly design professional reports in the exactly the format they need.

With Report CE 2.0, users can now select text features such as fonts, point sizes, underscores, and italics. Reports can also include horizontal and vertical lines, bit map images such as company logos, as well as drawings and signatures.

The new release of Report CE also includes powerful data handling capabilities. Reports can include look up controls, where a value in one table can access data in another table. A single report may draw data from an unlimited number of tables, with filtering that allows users to choose only the records they wish to view.

This unique report writing tool also brings full-featured printing capabilities to Pocket PCs, which normally cannot print on their own."

Easy to Build Customized Reports
Report CE can be used to create and print traditional reports as well as a wide variety of custom documents, such as invoices, quotes, and customer receipts. Reports can include a header, a footer, the data, and calculated data. Columns can be sized for efficient, professional presentation.

Report CE works with any Windows CE 2.0 or higher based device (H/PC, H/PC Pro, Handheld PC 2000, and Pocket PC). Reports can be designed on a desktop PC or on the Windows CE device. Printing is done via the infrared port of the device or from the desktop. Data can also be saved to a text file for import to other applications.

Report CE operates in conjunction with Visual CE®, SYWARE's popular database and forms builder software for Windows CE. Data can also come from applications developed with Microsoft Pocket Acces, Microsoft Visual Basic for Windows CE, or Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows CE. Reports are based on tables created using Visual CE or Pocket Access.

Availability and Pricing
Report CE is available separately for use with Visual CE or Pocket Access, or as part of Visual CE Enterprise Edition. Visual CE Enterprise Edition includes a royalty free license to distribute forms based applications, databases, and custom reports.
