Cambridge, MA (January 27, 2003)-SYWARE, Inc., a leading developer of intuitive database tools for business and personal productivity, has announced that it has been chosen to participate in the Microsoft® Mobility Partner Advisory Council (MPAC). MPAC was formed by Microsoft to provide a feedback mechanism for development of its mobility platform and to provide new technical, marketing, and business development support to companies making significant investments and inroads in the mobility space.
SYWARE is the developer of Visual CE®, the award-winning database development toolset for Pocket PCs and Windows CE devices, and mEnable®, an innovative software architecture for real-time wireless access to server data. The company's software is used in a wide range of application environments, from sales force automation to inventory management to patient tracking, in small to medium enterprises as well as Fortune 500 corporations.
"We are honored to be selected for Microsoft's MPAC," said Sy Danberg, President of SYWARE. "Through this council, we are able to work more closely with Microsoft and a select group of third-party innovators to bring mobility solutions to market. The end result is more innovative mobile technology that will continually enhance the productivity of our customers."
"The Mobility Partner Advisory Council was created to bring together people and resources that encourage new mobile technologies, applications, and services," said Mary Rose Becker, Group Marketing Manager for the Mobile Devices division at Microsoft. "SYWARE plays a key role in that effort as a leading developer of software tools that extend the reach of enterprise data to mobile professionals. We are pleased to support its development efforts."
