SYWARE®'s Visual CE® and mEnable® Database Development Tools Support Microsoft Excel

CAMBRIDGE, MA, U.S.A. - February 10, 2008 - SYWARE, Inc., a leading developer of intuitive database tools for business and personal productivity, today announced that it has extended its popular database development software, Visual CE and mEnable, to allow synchronization and direct access to a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet from any Windows Mobile handheld. Data in this commonly used desktop database format can now be easily read and modified on a handheld.

Visual CE's intuitive drag-and-drop interface allows users to create powerful data collection and information access applications with the extensive functionality typically available only through expensive high-end programming. mEnable allows wireless access to data over any TCP/IP network, including the Internet. With a minimal amount of effort, data in a desktop Microsoft Excel spreadsheet is now fully available to handheld users.

Visual CE

Visual CE allows users to build their own databases and create custom forms in a matter of minutes. Available in Personal, Professional, or Mobile 360 Editions, the software is designed to support the wealth of features available in Windows Mobile devices, including data synchronization, barcodes, and image support.

Programmers and business professionals alike can use Visual CE to create a variety of database and forms applications. Applications draw from a set of common controls: labels, edit boxes, note boxes, check boxes, radio buttons, command buttons, and drop down lists. Font control, device-based printing, timestamps, Digital Ink (scribble), and simple calculations are also supported. Additional features include support for cameras, barcodes, grids, data filtering, wild card searches, password protection, and calculations across records. Controls can be sized, dragged, and positioned as necessary using the desktop WYSIWYG development environment.

mEnable

mEnable connects Windows Mobile devices to the wireless world. It allows interactive wireless data exchange, wireless file and folder synchronization, and centralized management and control of Windows Mobile devices.

Pricing & Delivery

Visual CE Personal Edition, with full forms design, relational database, and synchronization capabilities, is priced at $129. Visual CE Professional Edition, which includes all the features of the Personal Edition as well as royalty-free distribution rights, is priced at $399. Visual CE Professional Edition is also sold as one component of SYWARE, Inc.'s cost saving Mobile 360 Suites, which include additional mobility tools.

mEnable, which adds wireless capabilities to Visual CE, is priced at $600 for one server and 10 clients, or $1800 for one server and 100 clients. An additional 10 clients can be added for $300, and 100 clients can be added for $1500.
