SYWARE Survey: Databases, SYWARE, and XML. We want to hear from you.

Do you use XML? How? Would you be interested in having XML features integrated into Visual CE or Report CE? In the past, people have asked us, "Do you do XML?" and (so far) we have been saying, "Not yet". It's a new year and we are now seriously thinking about it for our next release. But we want it to be something useful for you. So let us know how you would like to use XML with Visual CE or Report CE. Send us your ideas, suggestions, and/or sample XML files.

Technical Tip from "Dr. DeeBee": Starting a Desktop Application When a Handheld Connects.

When you connect a handheld to the desktop, our synchronizer knows to start synchronizing if you have "Synchronize on Connect" turned on. If you want something else done when a connection is made, here's how to set that up.

Mobile Industry New Product: Dick Tracy Meets Windows Mobile

Normally we don't promote third party products in the SYWARE newsletter, but we just couldn't resist this one: the world's first Windows Mobile Wrist Watch Phone. It's got a camera. It's got WiFi. It's got a touch screen. You can even (gasp!) make phone calls with it. It is just too cool to ignore. If you are looking for that perfect present to give to the author of the SYWARE newsletter, you can put this on the top of the list ;-)
